Do you have an intimacy with Him?

Do you have a passion for God?

Is your heart cry Lord, take every piece of my heart?

Are we so busy in our daily life that we don't even miss being alone with God?

Have we gotten to the place that we are not intimate with God because we do not want to be?

Maybe we have not gotten thirsty enough to desire Him and Him alone.

Our prayer needs to be: God create a longing within me for You! Make me thirsty for that living water which is in You!

We are not the only ones who desire an intimate relationship. As we read from Genesis to Revelation we will find out about God who loves His people and desire to have fellowship with them. Having a intimate relationship with God is high priority on His list, it should also be on our list of priorities. We have to commit ourselves to spend time in prayer, reading His word and just praising Him. There are a lot of biblical accounts of those who walked with God, who had that special close relationship with Him. My favorite was David, even in spite of his sins and problems, David longed for intimacy with God.

"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus I will bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me." (Psalm 63:1-8)

When we get intimate with God, we are ultimately getting to know God. If we want a relationship with Jesus it requires fellowship with Him. We can not just be hearers of the word, but we must also be doers of the word. We need to practice what we have been taught. This will change your life around. We must go beyond the veil and stabilize our walk with God! This is where we will learn to listen, hear, wait and be still. We must give of ourselves before He can give to us.
