Are you growing as a Christian?
Are you growing as a Christian?
Do you have habits worth keeping?
Are you staying close to where you first got in?
When we stay where we are at there is something wrong.
We are not to stay where we are at but to grow and mature in the Lord.
Take a good look at yourself and see if you are the same way you were a year ago, what about six months ago.
Have you stopped growing?
yah know if your child stops growing then you sure wouldn't hesitate to call the doctor and find out what was wrong.
Our relationship with God should be the same way.
When we are having trouble it should draw us closer to Him, it should not go the opposite way.
We need to run some spiritual tests upon ourselves.
The tests are to be run on your heart.
Do you have any of these habits?
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth: and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matthew 7:8-9
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
"The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself." Proverbs 11:25
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:25
These are habits worth having.
Isn't it good to know that some habits are good for you?
Have you let these habits just become a duty that you perform as a Christian?
We have to get a hold of these habits.
There is not way that we can apply the world's views, the world's methods to Spiritual needs.
We need to pay attention to how much secular/ worldly things take time away from our habits with God.
Some of us have forgotten why we take the time, and with whom we spend it with.
Perhaps some of us need to reevaluate our priorities.
Lets not stay on the edge, but dive completely into that river that is waiting for us.
Let us walk worthy of the Lord.
Let you life so shine around you, so that all will know without even having to second guess - well he/she says they are a Christian.
"Your God has commanded strength; strengthen, O God, what you have done for us." Psalm 68:28
