Well I could have....

"As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." I Peter 4:10

I have a little story to tell....

It is about a couple who have grown old, and are reminiscing about their old age. They were just talking about all the times that they could have done something great for God, but missed the opportunity because they chose to take the security of this world and did not listen to their heart. They did not take the time to hear and wait on God.

In today's society security is valued above most everything else.

The goal of "religion" is happiness and stuff that will give us pleasure.

Religion is not about what we get, or what makes us happy.

We are not called to have a religious spirit.

Jesus said, that He would that we be either hot or cold, for if we be Luke warm He would spit us out of His mouth. Revelation 3:16 paraphrased

We are to be about the Father's business, He should be all that we ever need, for everything that we have need of is found in Him. Read Philippians 4:19

We as Christians are called to take those unpopular stands.

We are called to come out of our security zones, and into God's presence.

We are not here to say well we could have had that, but rather remember when we did...

God will prove His faithfulness time and time again as we are obedient.

How much richer our lives become when we are obedient to Him.

I know that when the sunsets on my life, all that I want remembered is what I did for God.

I want God to have all the glory.

It is all about Him and giving Him the glory, that is what we were created for.

I will not have any regrets for making the wrong choices.

If we listen to what God has to say to us each day, then there shall be no regrets.

There will be no emptiness even at the end.

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." Psalm 139:14
