Are you a Mary or a Martha?
Are you wrapped up in other things other than Jesus?
Do you sit at His feet?
Do you strive for perfection?
Martha was busy getting things in order for her honored guests.
Martha thought that Mary wanted to only relax with the other guests and enjoy the stories.
Mary was sitting down and hanging onto every word that Jesus spoke.
Being in His presence meant more to Mary than anything else in the world.
Mary, nor did anyone else care if the dishes were not taken away immediately, or if they had drink, they were all there in His presence, hanging on His every word.
They did not want to miss out on the moment.
That one thing that Mary had chosen that would never be taken away was being in His presence!
Do you go about you day and try to fit God in?
Do you spend that quiet time with Him?
It is when we don't have that time of fellowship with Him that we find much frustration.
Jesus was not putting Martha down for her gifts that she offered Him, but was encouraging that gift that Mary was receiving.
What have you offered lately?
We have to offer ourselves if we want that deeper relationship with God.
Each day we need to be more the person He created us to be.
God, He is a good God, and He loves you!
He loves you enough to have a beautiful loving relationship with you.
He loves you enough to touch and heal your wounded soul.
He loves us so much!
He can not love you anymore, and He has never loved you any less!
Won't you come on a life long journey that will never end, but it will get sweeter as each day goes by.
