What do you give Him thanks for?

"We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you," Colossians 1:3

How often do we only thank God for the things in which we can only think of?

Why is it so hard for us to think about what we are thankful for when other people ask us?

We ought to be more thankful than just one day a year!

We should still be thankful even in the impossible times.

Have you given Him thanks for being here today?

Have you thanked Him for that next breath?

Have you thanked Him for your friends?

Have you thanked Him for the opportunity to be able to speak to others about Him?

Have you thanked Him for your health?

You say that you don't have much, but have you taken the time to see what others do not have?

Even those that do not have they have something that most of us lack, and that is joy.

Do you spend your time complaining about what you don't have but others do?

We as Christians are commanded to be thankful, it is not an option!

So, take a few minutes and think about how really thankful you are.

Don't let a day go by without telling your heavenly Father just how thankful you are, and that He is your heavenly Father who never gave up on you.

"It came to pass, as the trumpters and singers were one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lift up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endureth forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;" II Chronicles 5:13

"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations." Psalm 100:4-5
