Daily Walk with the Holy Spirit

Sunday, January 21, 2007

Who is your partner?

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen." II Corinthians 13:14

Do you feel as if you can not get enough of God's Word?

Do you feel as if you have been called to go deeper with Him?

Do you feel as if nothing satisfies you?

Are you longing to go deeper with God?

You can go deeper with God!

The Holy Spirit is not an "it", but a person of the Godhead.

The Holy Spirit wants to help us in growing closer with that relationship with Him.

The Holy Spirit has many functions.

He strives with sinners. - Genesis 6:3

He dwells in the saints. - John 14:17

He teaches us. - John 14:26

He testifies of Christ. - John 15:26

He reproves or expresses disapproval of sin. - John 16:8

He glorifies Christ. - John 16:14

He Comforts. -Acts 9:31

He helps our infirmities. - Romans 8:26

He sanctifies. - Romans 15:16

He searches all things. - I Corinthians 2:10

He works according to His own will. - Hebrews 2:4

I know that there are many other places that you can find each one of his functions, these scriptures are just a starting point to help you further your studies.

We as Christians need to learn how to walk in the spirit and move in His power.

The power of God!

We need to know His voice and listen to what he is telling us.

We must have the mind of Christ to keep us.

The best thing about the Holy Spirit, is that it dwells on the inside of each of us, the believer.

Without a daily communion with the Holy Spirit it is impossible to life a victorious life.

We must never stop our growth in God.

We must strive to press ahead in our spiritual walk.

We must have an intimate relationship with Him, or we will not have that deeper relationship with Him.

He is the One who convicts us and brings us to the place of repentance.

He is the One that anoints us, calls us and empowers us do the Lord's work.

He is the One who illuminates God's Word in our hearts.

He is the One who gives us strength when we need it.

He is the One who gives us wisdom and direction.

He is our helper for every situation that comes along.

The Holy spirit came down to our human level and took on certain traits that we can better relate to and understand so that we may have that fellowship with Him. Read Acts 8:8; Galatians 5:22; Ephesians 4:30; and John chapters 14-16.

Won't you make it a priority to know Him?

"And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Romans 5:5

"Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit." Job 10:12
