Fresh Faith

"Thou a host encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war arise against me,
Even then, in this will I be confident.
For in the day of trouble,
He will hide me in His shelter;
In the secret place of His tent,
He will hide me;
He will set me high upon a rock."

- Psalm 27:3,5 Amplified Bible

Are you broken hearted and weary?

Do you need to be set free?

Do you want to be transformed through the power of faith, and by the love of Jesus?

What is faith? Faith is total dependence upon God! Faith is an attitude of life. Faith means we must put our trust in God. Our trust must be grounded in the facts of life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Obedience is the outcome of faith, it is the desire of our purpose to practice what we profess. Nothing else counts if faith is missing! Faith is the affirmation of God in us, when we answer His Word. Faith is confirming God's Word.

The easiest mistake that we can make is to think that we can make ourselves be what we think we ought to be. We cannot lean upon ourselves, we cannot do it on our own power. It may take a long time, many hard knocks before we realize this, but sooner or later we will find out that we are not sufficient ourselves to do what we know we ought. In all His omniscience knowledge, God understood this long ago, and He will not leave us helpless. Without God our best efforts will equal out to be a zero.

No matter how low you get, no matter what collapses around you, no matter who rejects you, or speaks ill of you, God is able to encourage you! You see at the core of all our losses, there is this silent thief that comes to kill, steal and destroy our spiritual walk of faith. Satan is out to steal those hot embers of our devotion, our zeal and intensity. [Lord, blow on the embers of my soul and stir the fires of passion again. Lord, do for me what I cannot do myself. Amen.] We must believe in Him, and put all our trust in Him as our strength.

"But David found strength in the Lord his God." I Samuel 30:6 NKJV

We must come to that place, that moment when we say that we have had enough.

Am I just going to keep sitting here feeling bad for myself?

No matter what has happened to make you discouraged, God is still right beside you. Could be somebody let you down, or something went sour at your church. Suddenly, your dream was gone, and the calling wasn't as real. All the inspiration that you had is missing. We must come to that reality that we left open a door for the master thief to come in. The master thief (Satan) was right there waiting to step in and snatch all from us.

Remember, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:2) Our enemy has no feeling of sympathy. If he can sever our faith connection, he has gained a tremendous victory. He tries very hard to snatch our faith, more than anything else as he know that "the just shall live by faith." (Romans 1:17)

There is no other foundation for Christian living. What foundation? That foundation which is built upon that solid rock of Christ. We simply trust the Father's heart when we simply trust in Him whole heartedly. We need to stand on that confession of faith; that I will have faith in the God who answers all prayers. We must gather ourselves together before God and pray; even more so when it feels like the bottom is falling out of our life. For this is the right thing for anyone who is uncertain about the next move. We need to be saying come on, let's go after this problem in the name of the Lord.

"For with God nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37

What the enemy steals, God alone is able to recover. God will recover more for you than you lost, just as He did for David. This is what the Bible promises when it says we can be "more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Romans 8:37) God will revive fresh faith in our souls if we ask Him. We have not because we ask not. He will bring faith alive in us through His Word.

"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God." (Romans 10:17) He will strengthen you deep within your heart in a place where no one else can reach. He will help you get through!

Do you believe that God will recover stolen property?

Do we think that our situation is far too great for Him?

Are you ready for the power of God to turn it all around?

"And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor and glorify Me." - Psalm 50:15
