How do you fare with change?
Did you know that God has a remnant people?
Remnant means a small surving group still remaining.
Remnant people are those that have been set apart from the rest.
Remnant people have a hard time with church as ususal.
God will usually take some extra time on the Potter's wheel with His remnant people.
God is looking for those to stand in the gap and make up the hedge for humanity.
God is looking for those warriors who will give up their right to be recognized, rewarded or regarded.
God is looking for those warriors who will give all the credit to Him, and not take the credit for themselves.
God wants and likes to pour into these tried and proved vessels.
He tends to spend more time preparing, making and breaking and remaking those special vessels.
Only after they go through the tempering fires of testing, that they become strong.
When God's fresh move of the Spirit comes in, those that refused to be changed will not be ready to receive from God.
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles; else the bottles break and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new wine bottles, and are both preserved." Matthew 9:17
Jesus talked about different vessels.
Jesus was not talking about sheepskin wine containers.
He was referring to us and our ability to endure and accommodate the pressures of change.
It is when we try to force to fit His gift into old wineskins, they will burst, and we will lose both the new wine and the older vessels.
God wants His vessels to have a mix of conviction, grace, mercy and His anointing power.
Are you a vessel fit for use?
Are you a stiff or brittle vessel?
A stiff or brittle vessel is unable to receive a fresh move, or a fresh Word from God.
A stiff or brittle vessel is satisfied with where they are and are not wanting to adjust their spiritual sails to catch the winds of God.
Are you one who clings to the back of the pew and doesn't feel as if the wind isn't blowing?
Well, maybe your soul is stiff or brittle.
"And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles." Mark 2:22
Are you ready to shed your old wineskins, so you can be equipped to carry His presence.
Why get a new wineskin?
Why not?
God is preparing a vessel pure enough, flexible enough, strong enough, and bold enough to contain His transforming glory.
It is obvious that no ordinary vessel will do.
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." II Corinthians 3:18
He is changing us into His image from glory to glory so He can pour His glory all over the earth.
He has to have vessels ready and waiting to catch, carry and pour out His glory to the world.
Are you ready?
"According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue." I Peter 1:3
