How to plant a garden.

For The Garden of Your Daily Living.

How to plant your garden...

First, you "come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses...", -Hymn -In the Garden, C Austin Miles.

PLANT THREE ROWS OF PEAS:

1. Peace of mind

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3

2. Peace of heart

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

3. Peace of soul

"Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless." II Peter 3:14

PLANT FOUR ROWS OF SQUASH:

1. Squash gossip

"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain." James 1:26

2. Squash indifference

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2

3. Squash grumbling

"Do all things without murmurings and disputings." Philippians 2:14

4. Squash selfishness

"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." John 5:30

PLANT FOUR ROWS OF LETTUCE:

1. Lettuce be faithful

"Most men will proclaim everyone of his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?" Proverbs 20:6

2. Lettuce be kind

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:32

3. Lettuce be patient

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:1-3

4. Lettuce really love one another

"A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." John 13:34

NO GARDEN IS WITHOUT TURNIPS:

1. Turnip for meetings

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:25

2. Turnip for service

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1

3. Turnip to help one another

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need." Hebrews 4:16

TO CONCLUDE OUR GARDEN WE MUST HAVE THYME:

1. Thyme for each other

Do you remember why you married your spouse? If you spend time with your spouse, then after the children are grown and gone your relationship with our spouse will still be intact.

2. Thyme for family

If you have children, do you spend quality time with them? Don't make the mistake that quality time can make up for too little time.

3. Thyme for friends

Do you have friends that will help fill your cup? Do your friends lift you up or bring you down? Look for friends to whom you will not always need to minister. Have someone in your life that can minister to you.

WATER FREELY WITH PATIENCE AND CULTIVATE WITH LOVE.

THERE IS MUCH FRUIT IN YOUR GARDEN BECAUSE YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Galatians 6:7

So clever! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Just like good produce fresh from the garden nourishes our physical bodies, this nourished my soul. Thank you for sharing it.
