Spiritual Confusion

"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints." I Corinthians 14:33

There are times in everyone's walk that there is some type of confusion.

The way that we got there was to leave a door open for the enemy to come in.

The way out of confusion is not to simply say that we should not be confused.

It is not a matter of right nor wrong.

It is a matter of God simply taking you through a way that you do not temporarily understand.

Most time it is going through the spiritual confusion that you will come to the understanding of what God wants for you.

The shrouding of His Friendship
"And he said unto them, which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing set before him: And he from within shall answer and say, trouble me not: The door is now shut, and my children are in bed; I cannot rise and give thee? I say unto you, though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth." Luke 11:5-8

Jesus here is given the illustration of a man who appears not to care for his friend.

He is saying in effect, that is how the heavenly Father will appear to you at times.

You will think that He is an unkind friend - but remember He is not.

The time will come when everything will be explained.

There seems to be a cloud on the friendship of the heart.

Often love itself has to wait in pain and tears for the blessing of fuller fellowship and oneness.

When God appears to be completely shrouded, will you hang on with confidence in Him?

The Shadow of His fatherhood
"If a son shall ask of bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask for a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask?" Luke 11:11-13

Jesus said that there are times when your Father will appear as if He were an unnatural father.

As if He were callous and indifferent - But He is not.

Everyone who asks receives.

"For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Luke 11: 10

If all you see is a shadow on the face of the Father right now, hang onto the fact that He will ultimately give you clear understanding.

He will fully justify Himself in everything that He has allowed into your life.

The Strangeness of His Faithfulness
"And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because the widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:1-8

When the Son of man really comes will he find faith on the earth?

Will He find the kind of faith that counts on Him in spite of the confusion?

Stand firm in faith!

Stand firm in faith, believing that what Jesus said is true.

Even though you do not understand what God is doing, stand!

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:13

Don't give up, take a stand.
