This too shall pass
"Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord."
Is there anything more painful than a death of a loved one?
We as human beings all face trials in our life.
We seem to have those dark clouds that hang over us.
"even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you." Psalm 139:12 - New International Version
We have trouble with our thought life.
"Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. " Philippians 4:8 - The Message
The grip of anguish is hard upon our lives, and we don't seem as though we could even possible make it through.
The hardest thing to make it through as you lose a love one is fighting the depression.
But, thank God ":for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5b
There is hope!
We think that when we lose someone that the world has stopped.
Life goes on, despite our murmuring and complaining.
It sure does seem impossible at first, but there will come a healing.
We must grieve.
If they are saved, they are going to heaven.
We should also remember that to be absent from the mortal body is to be present with the Lord.
With time and good friends we all can make it through.
"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." Deuteronomy 31:6
Knowing that we always have someone to talk to whenever there is a need is really great.
He will be there to comfort, to give you peace, and wrap His strong arms around you for that much needed hug.
He will be there when you can't all anyone, or your friends can't be there for you.
Jesus, He is all you need!
Jesus is right there waiting with His hand stretched forth to pull you through.
Jesus, is the greatest force for sustaining you and bringing the meaninglessness of your life through His light of revelation.
"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." John 14:18
He will use this tragedy to accomplish a good purpose.
There will be plenty of tomorrows as we have spent our time healing.
Praise God for the dark days, our sweetest lessons are learned there.
There is nowhere in God's Word that says we are to live morbidly and sadly.
"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." Psalm 42:11 - New International Version
So why do we?
God does not intend for us to be sad and unhappy, but instructs us to rejoice.
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" Philippians 4:4 - New International Version
"I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want. I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who [a]infuses inner strength into me; I am [b]self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]." Philippians 4:12-13 - Amplified Bible
