Where am I?
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" Romans 8:35
Have you ever said to yourself or even thought about what a insignificant and temporal creature we truly are?
Between our life and death we have been permitted to live on this great earth for a time and after that....eternity.
Where are we exactly?
Our life is surrounded by mysteries.
Above us is an infinite sky, out of which comes many storms at the blink of an eye.
Below us is a sea full of mysterious life of marine animals.
An endless sea where many people have drowned.
So, where am I exactly?
We live in a world where demons rule, where wars are raged, where hopelessness, cruelty and fear predominate.
We live in a world where people die every three minutes from starvation, abortion, drug overdose, murder, rape, or even robbery, or road rage.
Where are we?
We live in a world in which God lived.
We live in a world in which God so loved.
"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
I live on an earth where soon He shall come, as He has promised.
"And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new." Revelation 21:5b
One day this beautiful earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
"For the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord, as the Waters cover the sea." Habakkuk 2:14
So my question to you is where are you?
Where am I exactly?
At this present moment, I am in Him.
Underneath me are His eternal arms.
"Casting all your care upon Him: for He careth for You." I Peter 5:7
We have got to cast all our cares and burdens upon Him.
Take all that baggage that is so overfull and empty it out the Lord.
Lord, here they all are, all my baggage, my cares and burdens, help me now to leave them with Thee and continue my way unburdened.
"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass." Psalms 37:4-5
