Are you contending for your faith?

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude v. 3

Do you know the Word of God well enough that if someone was to tell you a twisted version you would know the difference?

The Word of God is not to be compromised.

God's Word - His Word is...inspired, reliable, penetrating, and eternal.

When things get twisted, we become confused over right and wrong, between correct doctrine and true faith.

Saints in V.3 refers to you and I, all believers.

Even is some of the best churches today some false teachings have crept in, and church leaders are twisting teaching to justify their own opinions, their life stlyle, or their wrong behavior.

Just be warned that twisting or playing with the Scriptures is playing with fire.

"And if any man shall take away from the words of this book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the Holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:19

We must be ready in season and out.

"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears the will accumulate for teachers for themselves to suit their own passions, and will not turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths." II Timothy 4:3-4

We must not be afraid, only believe.

"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Joshua 1:9

We must not ask what we can do, but what can He not do?

God is essential in the battle.

There are many lessons to be learned through each battle.

Are you listening?

If we claim to profess God with our loudest, clearest voice, every portion of truth of God, except for that one that we currently are going through, the one in which the world and the enemy are attacking, then we truly are not professing Christ.

In other words, where there is a battle and the loyalty of the solidier, if he should flinch and flee there is disgrace.

When we defend our faith, we had better well have the real truth embedded into our hearts so that there will be nothing superficial.

We need to have that experiecne with Truth on a personal level and Know that it was God in which we had communion with.

"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." Matthew 5:8

"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blesssed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and ye shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven:" Matthew5:10-12a
