Do you have an advocate?
My little children, these things I write unto you , that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."1 John 2:1
There comes a time in one's life after God has shed His marvelous light upon us, we must then change our ways.
One should resist sin, and not so freely sin even though the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed us.
Yes, there will be times we sin, as long as we ask in forgiveness we will have a n advocate with the Father.
Jesus Christ the just, only acceptable one that can stand before His father and ask and plead your case.
Here in this passage of scripture the Apostle John is not talking to the unregenerate, but to those of us who have been born again.
He is talking to God's children.
John is telling us not to go out and deliberately sin, or willfully sin, or commit sin on purpose.
If one is truly born again, one will not have that desire to go out and sin on purpose.
You and I are not perfect by any means, and we still have that ability to sin.
But guess what?
We have someone that has that ability to stand before the Father and ask for a new clean slate for us.
We have an advocate through Jesus!
Jesus is our purger - our lawyer is a sense (if you will).
Jesus put up a defense in our case before the Father.
He was chastised for our reconciliation.
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:3
Have you places your case into the hands of Christ?
Do you know Him as your advocate?
You must know Him as Saviour.
He is sitting at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for you.
So when the accuser stands before God, if Jesus is your advocate then, Jesus will stand ready to defend you.
He will become sooo real to you.
His Word will become alive with in you.
You will know for certain that you are a child of God.
The blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, cleanses you from all your sin.
His blood not only cleanse you from your current sin, but those from the past that have been hanging on like baggage.
In a moment, you can receive eternal life, and have Jesus as your advocate.
In a moment you can become God's child and He can become your Heavenly Father.
In, a moment you can be cleansed from all that sin.
My precious child is oh, so easy to ask Him into your life.
You must confess your sins.
In that very moment that we recieve everlasting life, we can stand justified before God by faith in His Son!
Let the Lord Jesus Christ come and cleans you today.
This day you can have that wonderful experience, one that you will never forget.
Cry out today for Jesus - He is there waiting for you, beloved.
"But He was wounded for our transgressions: He was broken for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

I like the concept of reconciliation as peace..."the chastisement of our reconciliation was upon Him"...brings a new depth to the chastisement of our peace...reconciliation is a true peace and a clearer understanding of what peace is versus the psychobabble peace most people experience in society today.
