Happy to be nobody.

"I'm nobody! Who are you? Are you- Nobody-too?" - Emily Dickinson -

We can never know in prospect what God will do with us.

His will is always best seen in retrospect - but when the time comes to know, we will know.

Life gets exciting when we give God permission to chart our course.

God takes us where others have never gone before and where we have never thought we could go.

He leads us beyond anything we could ever ask or think, beyond our wildest dreams.

God takes the smallest events and turns them into momentous occasions!

"I can of mine own self do nothing." John 5:30a

Lord let my heart forever be set ablaze for you My God, My king!

Without Him we can do nothing.

Nothing in us is the source of hope.

Nothing in us is worth defending.

Nothing in us is special and worth admiring.

When we accept that fact, we can rest in Him who alone is wisdom, righteousness, and power.

Only in God lies our strength!

It is in the awareness of our weakness that keeps us strong enough to never be weak.

"For though He was crucified through weakness, yet He liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you." 2 Corinthians 13:4

Where are we headed?

We are speeding towards one world government and the second coming at a rapid pace.

I remember reading about the children of Israel who turned from God time and time again, only to realize their mistake and pray for forgiveness.

Each time, God would forgive them and they would walk with him for a time.

So, I am going to ask you to join me in praying for our nation every day.

God is in control!!!

Our president did not encourage participation in the National Day of Prayer.

He called it an event, and thinks it should be private prayer instead of Public Prayer.

!May God Have Mercy On America & Protect Our Troops!

In Texarkana last week, there were signs in people's yards that said, "America , prayer our only hope" with 2 Chronicles 7:14 underneath.

We certainly need God's help!

I have no idea who started this, but I certainly agree with this.

Our nation is and has been on the slippery slope for a long time.

If you look around you will find corruption, greed, moral decay, and a steady move away from the things that made us great.

The principles upon which this nation was founded are no longer our backbone.

However, we can reverse this trend.

2 Chronicles 7:14 in God's word he states, "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.."

I am convinced that we must pray for our nation and its leaders and ask for forgiveness.

So I ask you to join me in this.

Let me just add a quote from Ronald Reagan. "If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."

I truly believe this is why the United States of America is in the shape we are in today, most people have forgotten that we are one nation under God!

Let us as Christians stand up and remind people of this!!

What's your foundation built on?

Dying with Jesus by Death reckoned mine,
Living with Jesus a new life Divine,
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine-
Moment by Moment, O lord, I am Thine.

Moment by moment I'm kept in His love,
Moment by moment I've life from above;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.
------------------------------Daniel W. Whittle

The cross of Christ is and should be the foundation of our life.

God's plan was that through the cross our old selfish nature would be crucified.

It is through the Holy Spirit that the change comes to our heart and lives.

"And through peace made by that blood of the cross, to reconcile to Himself, through Him, through Him, I say, all things, both which are in earth and which are in heaven." Colossians 1:20 Geneva Bible of 1599

It is through people that have yielded to the Holy Spirit that enables them to face crises, and obstacles with a courage and by firm determination and with power they never dreamed they would have.

"Abide in Me, and I in you; as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine; ye are the branches; he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without Me can ye do nothing." John 15:4-5 Geneva Bible of 1599

Abiding is obedience.

Obedience to His will.

For without Him we can do nothing.

"For he that keepeth His commandments, dwelleth in Him, and He in him; hereby we know that He abideth in us, even by that Spirit which He hath given us." 1 John 3:24 Geneva Bible of 1599

Abiding is not striving for the top, the best, for what others have that you don't.

Abiding is not struggling, but a rest in Him!

Abiding is a life of surrender.

Surrendering to Christ.

A surrendered life is a life of abundance.

"Behold, God is my Salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also is become my Salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of Salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon His name, declare His doings among the people. Make mention that His name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord; for He hath done excellent things; this is known in all the earth." Isaiah 12:2-5 King James Version

Who knows where He will lead?

Listen to His voice.

Have your heart open to what God will do through you.

"And when He hath sent forth His own sheep, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice and they will not follow a stranger, but they flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers." John 10:4-5 Geneva Bible of 1599
